99238 2760 SCORPS 4 Fishy Jul 16, 2016 2016-07-15T21:24:52-0400 Sting rays the size of manhole covers. Shuffle. Take a spinning reel and a couple krocodiles Maybe take a fish. My best waves there have been on a mabile twinzer I'd also recommend the north road if you have a rugged vehicle with some clearance. 4wd not necessary, but I have used mine through there. When on the north road, stay on the beaten path, otherwise you may find yourself very stuck. My avatar pic is in the salt flats. Stop and smell the roses. Drive safely, in the daytime, sober.

99271 2760 SCORPS 7 shapewright Jul 16, 2016 2016-07-16T07:42:19-0400 one of my last trips, hit San Ignacio about noon, hooked up the solar panel at the town square for a hot lunch, I'm telling my pal Rob that it's waves today for sure.Hit the north road and a former hurricane had scrubbed the ground bare, there was not a speck of sand, nothing but cobbles for 90 miles, I swear we were pissing blood, had the tires aired down to 15 #, the Jeep would start hopping sideways until I brought it to a stop and got rolling again. Then we come to a breech in the diked up road with a river running through it, I had on my surf trunks and walked until I found a shallow spot with a hard bottom to ford. We got to Cadije at late dusk, we couldn't find the trek out of the mini grand canyon in the fading light until a truck came from San Juanico and we saw where he crossed the river, it was still an hour to navigate the next 8 miles, it was very dark when we pulled up to the bluff at second point, so much for my "we're going to get it today ". BUT I GOT IT TOMORROW! The south road is longer, but faster now

Was a pretty cool experience, clear sky and semi bright from stars. I had a few younger kids with me who were scared out of their minds about being lost, I just kept driving on instinct. We got to the river crossing and I sent it, showed up to the cantina in the twilight hours, slept it off and awoke to 6+ morning glass. I went back four times that summer, as soon as I would get back and talk to people about it they would say "I wish I would have went "and I would say "Let's go" and be back on the road a few days later. Rosa and I went for a month at the end of summer when everyone heads home for school, that was the best! I had read up online about how to get there, and no kidding the advise was follow the Tecate cans. It was true, that night I would see cans along the trails which brought comfort to kn…

99349 2760 SCORPS 12 shapewright Jul 17, 2016 2016-07-17T09:53:21-0400 the first time in the dark we wound up in Datil, a fishing village near the coast, turned south and finally saw a sign for LaBallena and that was marked on the map so we knew we were still on our planet. My first trip in '96 the Hale Bop or Shumacher Levi comet was over head, in SD it was a blip with a little tail, in the middle of Baja without a light for hundreds of miles, the tail went from horizon to horizon, I know why primitive people regarded them as a religious sign
99392 2760 SCORPS 13 Veterano Jul 17, 2016 2016-07-17T17:17:37-0400 "we wound up in Datil, a fishing village near the coast" - referred to as the Village of the Damned in certain circles. I could write a book on my comings and goings to those points over the last 35 years.
