| 81240 | 1746 | what glider for beachbreak? | 79 | SharkB8 | Oct 19, 2015 | 2015-10-19T05:04:48-0400 | Hey big d. The waves around here are usually shoulder and under. Sometimes we get up to 7-8 and then only a few times at the size is it not a washing machine. I'm a average surfer but Iv never been the best in a paddle battle. I like getting in the wave early. I Usually ride a 10-0 Austin soulglide or a 10-0 SWT. I have a hard time making sections. Guy here has a RC skipper that's 11 and he kills it. I picked up a 10-6 of the same and I like the glide aspect. We swapped and his felt like it was just so smooth and flowing. He caught a few with my 10-6 and said he liked it but for a heavier guy the 11 was better suited. He has seen me out and gives me suggestions. I ask for your advice and others here. We have beach beaks. Sometimes it just jacks up and is a close out wall. Many days it is like a wall. Not much shoulder and if it is then it's a race to get there. I have the ability and vehicles to take a few boards so interested in knowing whT others think in these conditions. |
