I've been a big fan of Christenson shapes for a while and have 8 of his shapes. I've been blown away by the quality of each of the customs I've received in terms of attention to detail in everything from the curves to the art and glassing, especially on the mids and larger shapes, including the longevity of the boards. The brand is clearly positioned as a premium board at a premium price point and I think most people on this forum acknowledge that. While the feedback on beefing up glassing on shortboards can be valid, that is the whole point of going with a custom order. The only thing that I wish could be improved is more Real style videos where they really inspect the board to give the viewer a better understanding of the shape, intent, and then couple that with average joes surfing it as opposed to pro-level ripping. I personally pour over those videos before placing an order for a board I have never seen in person. Click to expand... I'm with ColdWaterBandit on this request! I lust after Christenson's longboards when I see them in stores, but have a hard time finding detailed info online. The Real videos have several times convinced me to buy one premium board over another. Matt Calvani does some great video explanations of his Bing shapes, too, where it's just him in a shaping bay talking for 20+ minutes. I once found a helpful video of Chris (maybe at Icons?) explaining one of his longboards. More like that would be great.
