If the governments had the clear message that the climate change is a threat to the livelihood of our children and grandchildren, we would just be aligned. That split we're experiencing shows the doing greed and the interest of the fossil fuel industry. Click to expand... I don't find governments to be truthful. Do you? Politicians tend to be dishonest and manipulate populations by using fear. And the politicians are often doing the bidding of other powerful interests or agenda pushers. Over the past few years I've seen multiple instances of politicians claiming various weather events and shoreline changes are the result of climate change - only for scientists who believe in climate change to push back and say the politician is incorrect. And then there's the big lies, like the claims sea level rise and climate change are driving erosion on Florida's east coast. If you surf and you've ever seen images of the dozens of inlets along the shoreline (pre-manmade alteration) you know if it weren't for the Army Corps of Engineers altering those inlets for boat traffic there would be no coastal erosion issue. In fact, the same goes for pretty much all sandy coastlines with similar issues. Disruption of the natural flow of sand leads to coastal erosion on long sandy beaches. Pretty much always. |
