376419 24125 Global warming is fairy science 60 shadydave Oct 9, 2025 2025-10-09T13:35:57-0400 Planktom said: Stating the obvious But to the point - the link between human activity and the effects on global warming was first documented by scientists in the 1800s, away from any significant influence or indeed political pressure. Just for science's sake, when scientists still managed the field of science. This is important to understand. The thing that is up for debate, is how significant human activity is in relation to global warming. From what I can ascertain, this is still pretty hard to define. It's also increasingly hard to sift through the quagmire of information that's wrapped up as 'evidence'. This goes both ways, I have no horse in this race. Click to expand... I believe the point I was attempting to make is we have reliable daily records dating back to the late 1800's (150 yrs +/-). Now can we reliably go back thousands of years and look at a 150 yr window and accurately tell what daily temps were, what ocean temps were, what type and frequency of extreme weather conditions were experienced? These are things I wonder about. I doubting that is possible. I imagine there were lots of extreme climate changes in small windows of time.
