Stating the obvious But to the point - the link between human activity and the effects on global warming was first documented by scientists in the 1800s, away from any significant influence or indeed political pressure. Just for science's sake, when scientists still managed the field of science. This is important to understand. The thing that is up for debate, is how significant human activity is in relation to global warming. From what I can ascertain, this is still pretty hard to define. It's also increasingly hard to sift through the quagmire of information that's wrapped up as 'evidence'. This goes both ways, I have no horse in this race. |
