It was so much fun in anything I surfed it in from fast pitchy beach break to big point surf to shin high baby waves. I almost exclusively rode this board for two years when I lived in LA. I recently acquired a 7’2 on the east coast and find it wants a little more juice. I briefly had a 6’6 as well out here and that was fun in good waves. 7’2 splits the difference for me where I can take it out in smaller waves as long as there’s some push and feel confident taking it out in head high+ waves as well. I had a 6’8 mitsven egg here in NY for a bit as well and it was really fun on stomach-head high clean days. I don’t think you can go wrong with an egg from any of the SD shapers but there’s definitely something special about the hilbers ones. |
