It really is a good all round high performance board that does everything it's made out to do. And a whole lot more under the feet of someone more talented than me. It's shares a number of similarities to the Apex yet it's way lighter, less volume where it counts, thin knifey rails all round and much nicer colour too. It even nose rides more easily than the Apex and for me, my body weight (80kg) and limited skill, the SLP turns better and is so much faster too. My only negative is that it's probably best for waves about waist high upwards but I often log in weaker waves knee to thigh high. So not the board's fault at all. From waist high upwards, I have a 9'3 Beach Pig by Primal in custom epoxy with carbon and innegra rods. Similar to the Paragon but with concaves and not rolled vee. Click to expand... Interestingly I feel more or less the same with my wooden clones.
