I generally like CA, but the cost of living in the Bay Area is just ridiculous. And I prefer the warmer SoCal weather. I’ve lived in a lot of random places including NC, DC, Boston, Chicago, NY and for me CA is still a decent option. Not too many states with as much coast for surfing haha. Would love to live abroad for a few years while the kids are young, but I would like to settle down in SoCal somewhere. And I work in SF and it definitely has gone downhill since the pandemic…was walking to lunch and saw the biggest poo (pretty sure it was from a human) I have seen in a very long time just chillin on the sidewalk. |
