Can't say I blame him for making money, but specifically naming spots isn't cool. However, I don't know of any secret spots in NJ, but then again they wouldn't be secret if I did. Click to expand... That's exactly the case with a few guys that I know who have YouTube channels. They post some videos for fun or as a hobby, find out that there are interested viewers out there, and continue building their channels because someone out there cares about seeing their stuff. It's not usually a case of trying to become YouTube famous, or becoming the next JOB or Ben Gravy (though sometimes it is). As a viewer, I enjoy watching their videos when I see them posted to see what they're up to. Very fair point about not obviously publicizing spots. I always got the feeling that Brian must have some kind of professional multimedia background considering the relatively high production quality, especially the audio quality of his voiceovers. It's always extremely clear and high quality, which always seems to be the first thing to suck about amateur YouTube videos. I don't know for sure, but I somehow doubt that he specifically invested in that equipment just for this channel. I'll bet he already had the equipment and knowledge of how to use it. On a positive note, he will have fresh new content to post about! "How to not to anger other local surfers: the importance of keeping spots secret"
