I snagged one from Down The Line Surf and rode it on a month long trip I did to Portugal, Spain and France. Been meaning to post. 7'0 FM Image processing. Refresh page to view Image processing. Refresh page to view The last line of Ryan's own explanation of this board really sums it up best "This is an average to good wave board that wants you to keep it actively on rail and pushing as hard as you can through your turns when the wave allows." I ran into mostly crappy waist-high waves on this trip and was longing for my Lizzy on those days. When the waves did get some juice and shoulder-high plus, the board was extremely "neutral", meaning it did whatever I wanted it to and I really could push it as hard as I wanted. This board does not trim like my Lizzy, but does enable a non-shortboarder like me to ride it like a short board. My plan was to sell before I left Europe, as I did not need another board and did not want to bring it home or spend the money. I was unable to sell, which I blame partially on the glass job and partially on my unwillingness to lose a boatload of money on it. Board seems glassed to me like a shortboard. It is really light for a 7'0 (good) but after a couple weeks of daily riding, it had lots of heel and knee (from duck diving) pressures (bad). Admittedly, I have heavy feet and knees, but the rails suffered from cracks (presumably from my roof rack) and two pretty nasty dings through the glass on the bottom that haunt me to this day. My only guess is that the wind blew my full-length hotel window into the bottom of the board (twice), while it was in the bag. I am careful with my boards and was really bummed about all this. I now have the board home on the east coast, and once I get the dings sealed up will give it a go, but I don't think it is suited for typical small gutless NJ waves or our big, steep tubes when it gets good. I would take this board on trips with good, flatter waves but I do not think I will get much use out of it here. My logs and Lizzy will continue to be my go-to's up to chest high, and then I will grab a shortboard.
