I don't really have an issue with Bruce, Almond making softops etc... They are board builders, making boards that will be sold directly or through surf shops and I would not call that scale of production 'mass production'.. But Wavestorms and the the like and those shitty inflatable SUPs that are sold from supermarkets and fall apart and up in the trash can before a season is out...
