He did it at a time when it wasn't as much the norm in society as it is today and lots of the elders found distasteful. Plenty of people do like his boards. All shapers need to surf or have surfed well at some point to know what the fuck a surfboard needs to do. It can't be faked, you either do, or ya don't. I've stated my gripe about rl on here before, several yeas ago, the ownership of the resin dot was hilarious, the discounting of apprenticeship was stupid and the general lack of humility annoying. Otherwise good for him, and his surfing has improved which is good too. |
