I like the guy in many ways, I like a lot of his boards and I like the handshaping business incubator idea. On the flip side, it is both risky and disrespectful to claim full ownership of designs, even down to specific planshapes. I have a Rolf Aurness-designed triplane 7'9 pintail that was shaped by the late Scott Anderson around 20yrs ago that is a component specific comparison to a Thick Lizzy, I'm pretty sure I don't recall Scott, or Rolf for that matter, claim ownership of that design. What's the saying? Walk softly and shape a great stick, or something like that.... |
