I've surfed Firewire Epoxy - Helium and LFT... and didn't like how it surfed at all. Don't have that feeling with the thunderbolt - lighter, livelier in the surf.. Feels like a surfboard under my arm... Firewire epoxy feels like a toy. As for durability - I'm 210 lbs and let's just say... not the most graceful of surfers and all of my poly boards are riddled with pressure dings. i've been on the outlier almost exclusively since december 2-3x a week and it has far fewer dings and the ones it does have aren't as dramatic. Even dropped it from about waist high on concrete right on the rail- board was wet, it was windy... slipped right out of my fingers... was totally expecting it to be cracked / splintered and nothing.
