One of my friends had one. He said I could use while he was at Work. I really connected with that Board. it was 9 foot and a 2 plus 1 fin set up. Bob and I came up with a round tail wide point back that was 8'10" and a 2 plus 1 I have always regretted selling that Board. Bob and I came up with boards fitting that description starting soon after Nat visited ('87?) and left behind a board, or boards, with hips and a pulled-in nose. Been riding them ever since. Many of my friends also ordered them. But 'Magic Sam'? I dunno about that. With modern bottom contours we just call them Sakodas.
