I chose 5 fins so I would have flexibility for fin mix and for travel (everyday travel is much easier with removable fins). And, quite frankly, I just haven't seen glass-on traditional bonzer runners in FCS format, so a traditional 3-fin setup wasn't really an option. Moreover, with 5 plugs you can go 2 or 4 runners, large runners only, small runners only and so on. All other things being equal I think the total base lengths of 2 traditional runners and 4 contemporary runners, is the same. |
