The best part is that mine is in great condition, everything is tuned up just right. No dry spots on the ice like in the wild -- I went so far as to use Pledge on the ice surface (as recommended in the manual) to make sure it was in prime working order. Here's the back story: A buddy of mine worked for a company that had two of these in his break room. There was a company merger, so management decided to auction them off. He knew that I love Super Chexx and had some other arcade games, so he offered to place a bid for me. I cleared him to bid up to $550. My winning bid ended up being $130. HUGE win for me! These suckers are like $3500 brand new. Virtually zero wear and tear and very lightly used. The play counter (inside) was registering 000000 because it had always been set to free play. (I clocked it up a bit when I started using tokens to get the arcade effect of dropping in a coin to play.) Ohhhhh yeah. Love me some Super Chexx. |
