Ended up doing head caskets, cat heat shields and timing belt service ($1800 @ dealer) in 2014 with 84,000 miles. It seems most owners get rid of them when it's time for the timing belt service. Other than that it's been a good car but we only put about 5,000 miles a year on it. Click to expand... I had a 1st generation outback limited with the weather band radio. Was an incredible surf car. Especially with leather heated seats in the winter out here. I took her to 200K with no real issues, other than hitting a few dear. Sold her for 1k to a young kid. I heard through grape vine he destroyed it within a month.
