It was in darn good shape for a nearly 70 year old board, but he had me strip the varnish and retune the blank. Before revarnishing he got a wood burning kit and added the Swastika to the top of the tail. Later I would learn he put it in a vintage board auction as pristine, original condition Pacific Homes. It brought 20,000$, when a sworn enemy of his learned of this he contacted the new owner and described the journey the board had gone through. Soon enough a certified letter from an attorney arrived with lawsuit demands. The result was refund of money and a balsa Curren gun and one of the phony GN/Dora's thrown to stop the fraud case |
