Saw a couple of deer, then a fox, hadn't seen a fox in a while so that was neat. Just before sunrise, like a cheesy airbrush tourist teeshirt with oranges and pinks and black trees silhouetted with a crazy cloudbank that went on for miles with about a 20 degree slant compared to the horizon line. The surf? That part was good too. Great first hour with five of us on a clean righthander. My buddy Pierre was blowing minds on his 12'3"... not very typical equipment for here and he handles it beautifully! Then someone opened the floodgates and it went to pot. Just as I was going in a jetski came out to clear the water for an SUP event. Still, dawn is where it's at at the moment. |
