100078 2802 Bing Pintail Lightweight 15 Chilly Willy Jul 26, 2016 2016-07-26T05:03:48-0400 Makawao: Just an observation -- pretty cool attention to detail with the matching leash string on that Austin. Newlyn: The 3-stringer model seems to be maybe a little bit more obscure in terms of ridership. There was a Windex blue one at the Beach House board swap a few years ago and it was one sexy wave machine. I haven't ridden that particular Bing model, but I have spent a lot of time on a 10' G&S Retro Redfin (similar concept, both speed shapes). I think it works well in steeper surf and rides with confidence in bigger waves (head+), although it doesn't have the hard rail in the tail that would probably help with steeper waves. The big strength of these boards seems to be tremendous trim power in the sense that stepping up to the front 1/3 of the board kicks it into 5th gear.
