I think the Bing PTLW is a good choice. There's countless options I like a Takayama DT-1 outline for size. If you're going to want to get into bigger than 2-3 foot surf (shoulder/head high), I think the 9'8 becomes unmanageable logarithmically with size. You're not going to be wanting to be taking on steep drops regardless, just get in early at a good tack. My $0.02 |
