As much as i would like to set them up with some weather torn BZ surfboards ( you know the ones that have been baking in the sun for decades and end up part of your suit, trunks and body as they flake off nicely) but all three of them deserve a little better ( well maybe one of them doesn't but regardless). Can anyone suggest a shop close that might have decent boards for rent. Would like to get it set so i know where i'm going cause we fly in friday afternoon and hope to get em and get in the water soon there after friday eve. Any help greatly appreiciated

I don't think it's one of my boards because it looks too short, though he does have one of my old ones that I broke on the pier before I even rode it (long story). That kid saved the Black Hornet from the rocks at the Point at SanO on the first day I rode it so he's okay in my book. I was making a chest high drop and watching Rich Chew watch me on my first backside on that board instead of paying attention to what I was doing and blew it and the string parted. She might like Al's idea, too. She has to be in the mood. I think the reason she is doing that painting is she felt sorry that she had specifically gone out their to earn the $50 bounty mi espousa offered for a picture of me with some toes over (that's another long story at my expense) and when I got a really long stand up 5 coming right toward her (9.10 SWT), she ran out of room on her card. I finished the ride and looked over at her on the jetty and I thought she was reviewing the pictures on the viewfinder. Turns out she had been shooting 100's of photos of 3 baby sea turtles at her feet right b/4 that ride and was looking to see what files she could delete. She's the kind who has to be in the mood to do a painting and she'll only have a week off from camp b/4 we go to Yellowstone and when we comes back, she will be immediately moving into her dorm in Austin. But if she is in the mood, she pretty quick. Can anyone find out how many shirts have sold the last couple of years, please.

Arrogant Bastard is his favorite. I will definitely try to taste it when I get to Cali. Thanks.

From what I remember last year there were tons of boards around the palapa, shaper's demos, personal boards and forum members trying each other boards out. Heck, just take out a hefty loan at the bank for a deposit and I bet Miles will rent you guys something in his fleet. WN
16616 209 Sano 2008 86 mro87 Aug 4, 2008 2008-08-04T09:09:24-0400 Barry answered and will set us up for the grand tour. I need an approximate head count and a favored time for the visit. I already have the PR crew, Vegaluca, Grush and Woodnsea. I presume that Mango Bill and Miles are interested. Anyone else? What would be a good time, around 1:00, 1:30, 2:00? Edit: Ideally we would visit the Foundation between a Malibu AM session and an afternoon Sano session. Anyone familiar with the local distances and traffic have a suggestion as to a good time to visit the Foundation?

16623 209 Sano 2008 92 mro87 Aug 4, 2008 2008-08-04T10:47:28-0400 My recollection is that the last two years we have surfed Malibu early (dawn patrol) and been done by 10:00 am, and by 10:30 am been done bs'ing about all the tens, tubes and wipeouts, and on our way to Sano. If we can loosely stick to this schedule I think we can comfortably make it to the Foundation by 1:30-2:00 pm (and with plenty time to spare to catch a Pedro's fish taco). I run on Island time so could the punctual Americans let me know if this schedule works?
16627 209 Sano 2008 93 Miles Aug 4, 2008 2008-08-04T15:37:29-0400 Dewey, Al and I are holding a parking place for you. I'm in for the Museum. Tuesday we drove from San Clemente to Malibu in 1:45 at about 1 in the afternoon. I was busy and missed the exit for I-10 to go thru Santa Monica and instead took the 101 and then to the coast thru the canyon. Thanks for that AF.

I do the drive often enough from 5 minutes north of downtown L.A. to San O exit in an hour/hour ten max ,at 5 or 6am straight down the 5 fwy. I'd say Friday from Malibu allow 2 hours. You can almost count on LA morning traffic going until 10am and starting again at 1pm for those leaving early on a Friday. WN
