| 10068 | 135 | Quiver Shots | 4 | Dawnpatrol | Jul 29, 2007 | 2007-07-29T15:25:35-0400 | Hey Kona! That quiver is somewhat intimidating even if I decided to retire to the Big Island. I gotta limit my boards to 5. If I want more the missus usually takes one off the rack to a garage sale. After 30 years of marriage, getting a new board w/o selling one get's interesting! DP |
| 10069 | 135 | Quiver Shots | 5 | Chilly Willy | Jul 30, 2007 | 2007-07-30T00:47:33-0400 | Whoa, what's the story with the 5-fin longboard? I'm curious how it rides and responds as compared to, say, a 2+1. |
| 10073 | 135 | Quiver Shots | 6 | KonaKat | Jul 30, 2007 | 2007-07-30T03:25:18-0400 | Log- That would be the infamous Purple board from Benny (not pink ). My son calls it barney. I push him into waves on it and It rides him like an oversized sidewalk. Great noserider, one of my favorites on the one foot days. DP- This is the first time they have all been together. Usually I use the out of mind of of sight technique. I place 3or four under my lanai, two on the side of the house, a couple in the garage, and then my daily drivers. It seems to throw the misses of the trail. Actually, I have to sell two to get one these days! Griffin boards are pretty cool actually! It noserides better than some of my logs! It takes some getting used to as far as fin placement. When properly set up it is a dream to surf. It works really well it in steep, hollow waves. I usually ride it when it gets a bit bigger. My budy's all laugh at the board, but she goes. One of my friends actually glued about twenty fins on the bottom of a beater and showed up at the beach to mock me.:? good laugh of that one! A hui ho, KK |

Okay, that's it Andy! This is where the gloves come off! Can YOU present your raw data from the research that YOU did to generate THAT statement? These shirts have a "snazz" factor that can't be ignored. I do have a theory however, that guys 60 and over, with some belly wear these and sport them with quite a "spiff". The guys under 60 with a bit more concave, tend not to. I just cannot figure why I am the first here to question the legitimacy of a statement so groundless. |

Must at leadt be room for a  Dick Van Straalen? Click to expand... Siam This was a partial quiver shot not the whole echillada. It was also taken back when I was state side.I now own a bunch of other shaper(Aussy). I have a few Phantoms and have a Dane Thomas Pig on it's way right now!! The Surfing here in Australia is more gaged on high performance shortboading due to the high competitive nature of the Australian. I myself am into more of the trim and glide aspect of surfing. Dick Van boards are cool but I personally Don't have a need for any of his shapes plus they are a bit to "Rasta" for my liking. Once I glass my PIG I will make sure I update a quiver shot and post all my other Aussy boards. |

I don't have a list what's in stock. I've been accumulating them over a span of 15 or so years. Didn't have the foresight to inventory them when I had them out for the picture, my bad. However, I DID have the foresight to do the deed when my wife was out for the day....she's pretty good about it really, even bought a couple for me, she's more concerned about the boards vacating her formal living room, rather than how many "we" own. I've got quite a few hanging on the walls around the house too that didn't make it outside for the pic. If I do it again, might have to post a notice here for Volunteers to complete the task quicker and help inventory the lot as well. cd PS - now I'm collecting boats....... |

It is listed as a cruiser on the Harbour website, however It seems to be pretty nimble to me. Then again I am pretty used to my Becker 11' beast, so anything is pretty nimble. As far as waves I get my fair share. The board paddles well I am 6'5" 225lbs 42yrs old and have no problem getting into waves early. |
