I'm able to travel with a bag up to 7' so I can bring boards for the better days.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor anyone that has a longer egg (8' - 9') and an eagle or mini Glider and maybe a long simmons or fish simmons at the same length, which would you recommend?  Thanks\n        \n\n\nClick to expand...\n\n\n\n\nI have/had quite a few 8'0sh San Diego style eggs. Surfed them a lot in south and ncsd, as well as various magics and eagles at different lengths. You could do it on an 8 foot egg but for the conditions you are asking I would say between 8'8 - 9' is better.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn my experience you could one board quiver that wave range you specified with any of those types of boards in that high 8 low 9 range, and depending how and where you want to surf would be the deciding factor. Eagles are more tuned for blasting through sections in trim, sd eggs versatile and neutral platform that does what you ask in a wide range of waves, Magics tuned better for the higher range of those conditions with a bit more rocker pulled in tail etc.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you plan to ride boards you bring for better days I would be thinking eagle or egg, if you wanted to do the whole trim out glidery style go eagle. If you wanted a more turnable versatile board go for classic sd egg (they still trim out beautifully and can be ridden in so many different styles). Magic is also a great choice, but small and mushy maybe not the best option.  Small and with some zip or curve to it, it's happy days."]], "columns": ["post_id", "thread_id", "thread_title", "post_number", "author_username", "post_date", "post_date_iso", "post_body"], "primary_keys": ["post_id"], "primary_key_values": ["335582"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.6191460015543271, "license": "Public Domain"}
