I only surfed the 9’6 for a day but it was a full day with thigh to waist high soft waves.

The board was so easy to ride. Paddled in super easy, bottom turns intuitively like it was on autopilot, trims super fast and cut back effortlessly. Several nose rides I had were stable as and was easy to make micro adjustments while on the nose. Everything you’d hope for and expect from a modern log. But what I didn’t expect was that when powered up, the board felt like a performance longboard with double concaves and got up to warp speed so easily and then carved turns as if everything in it’s design was sacrificed for turning. I can’t imagine someone having this board ever being disappointed.

Fin selection will play a big part in its feel. I can’t help thinking that a little more rake and flex might release the board’s potential. The 10” powerflex for me at least, was a bit too upright and stiff. I’m not an advanced surfer but I reckon you can see it in the way CJ surfs, if his fin was a little more raked his turns would be a tad more drawn out and even more powerful.

If you can get your hands on one go for it!
post_id", "thread_id", "thread_title", "post_number", "author_username", "post_date", "post_date_iso", "post_body
post_id
331038
