I wanted the silver for the weight during windy days and I went with the 9'6\" over the 9'9\" because of East Coast dumpier / steeper waves and I have a 9'8\" Bing Continental that is my nose riding Cadillac. Alas only the black was available at the time and I said screw it bc I wanted something that was lively for the days it goes about waist high outside of my continental size range.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShort answer: It delivered.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI'm 190lbs 5'11\" and if you're in the pocket it locks in nicely.  You'll feel the lift and everything.  It will drop out if your get ahead of the pocket so you'll have to nose ride in the appropriate section of the wave but when you're there you'll feel it lift nicely.  Therefor it nose rides in a traditional feel which is great.  My fine swine didn't have edge in the tail just foiled out rails and having the little bit of edge in the tail / flip does help you draw out the turn.  It's wider than my fine swine in the back half and its 1/4\" thicker as well.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe only thing I had a difficult time getting used to was the weight and feel in the water of the black construction (or any TB construction for that matter).  I am so used to poly that the buoyancy and firm characteristics threw me a little.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe responsiveness makes up for it though.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI had a larry allison 9.75\" volan flex type fin in it and it was good but didn't want to hold quite as well for noseriding. So I put my  10'5\" powerflex in it and that extra upright design and little more size holds it in the nose ride better that anything more raked out unless you are smaller in stature than me without comprimising in turning.  I can stay on the tip for a lonnnng time on my continental and have a wider range of the wave to stay perched on the nose, but like all big sidwalk noseriders it has a speed  governer and faster steeper waves become not as fun.  pulling this into that wave type and size it will make the section for you and get up and tight in that pocket where that levitating feel really exists.   Feels like log with a racecar shoved into it.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSee the attached pics on a roughly 2.5ft+ 8sec period day.\n        \n\n\nClick to expand...\n\n\n\n\nNice photos"]], "columns": ["post_id", "thread_id", "thread_title", "post_number", "author_username", "post_date", "post_date_iso", "post_body"], "primary_keys": ["post_id"], "primary_key_values": ["330383"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8129199995892122, "license": "Public Domain"}
