It doesn't really seem like much has changed. The surf got way more crowded in 2020 and that continues.  But all the good stuff is still great.  The difficult stuff is still there (there was basically no commuter traffic in 2020 but it seems like it's 100% back to pre COVID levels on my recent visits).  Any sort of media narrative that things have changed dramatically seems way overblown and targeted at people who want to hear it.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI moved from one expensive part of the country to another (although gas is pretty cheap here!).  That being said cost of living has increased everywhere and raising kids is expensive everywhere.\n        \n\n\nClick to expand...\n\n\n\n\nI think this is well stated. I don't disagree entirely. I'll be candid. My ONE issue is the ability to have and carry a firearm. But, I am not trying to start that discussion here. I know many would disagree and I don't want to go down that pointless path.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYour last statement is 100% fact."]], "columns": ["post_id", "thread_id", "thread_title", "post_number", "author_username", "post_date", "post_date_iso", "post_body"], "primary_keys": ["post_id"], "primary_key_values": ["298911"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8402040002692956, "license": "Public Domain"}
