Egg has a similar range to the RS in many ways, but is slightly more satisfying to surf in smaller/not so hollow waves as there is more curve in the tail. I took the egg to Bali a few years back and had some happy sessions on it at overhead Uluwatu Racetrack/Temples. The McCallum flew in both hollow and flatter-faced surf from waist-high to just overhead. It would have probably gone well in big, clean point surf too, but I never had the chance.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have a lot of jumbled surf in the UK, with onshores and crossed-up windswell being common and I think that the assertion that bonzers only go in clean waves is a little unfair, they are more versatile than many people think is the case.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI am constantly swapping out boards and experimenting, so no of the above are still with me, but I would happily have the Mac back or another egg in a heartbeat. There was nothing wrong with the RS at all, but I just feel the egg is a better all-rounder."]], "columns": ["post_id", "thread_id", "thread_title", "post_number", "author_username", "post_date", "post_date_iso", "post_body"], "primary_keys": ["post_id"], "primary_key_values": ["178300"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8357500009879004, "license": "Public Domain"}
