I've never been so happy to have pneumonia with antibiotics doing the trick.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSome information from our local hospital and doctors office.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n- the hospital won't test unless admitted or have come in direct contact with a known case, despite many symptoms\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n- the hospital won't test for other things because the swabs are in short supply\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n- there is no treatment for those with mild symptoms, stay home and only come if having difficulty breathing\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n- they recommend isolating, but there is no follow up to see if you are doing so\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n- doctors office has much more leeway on testing\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n- doctor was happy to prescribe antibiotics and test for other respiratory issues and then test for covid if those came back negative\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n-d was pissed off about the situation, lack of testing, lack of supplies and had sourced his own safety goggles with prescription lenses because face shields are in high demand\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n- county health websites are out of date\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n- senator's office acted surprised about the lack of testing\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAnother doctor friend relayed that 15-45min tests are coming really soon and will help tremendously in the fight.  It's getting bad right now with low supplies and no testing.
