That board paddles into waves better than longboards 6 inches longer.  Just magical combo of rocker, pulled-in nose, secret sauce etc makes catching waves a dream. I feel my 9'0 will go into anything I'm willing to paddle-into.  It really fits into anything, seemingly better and tighter the steeper and more critical it gets.
