I took out my 10 ft Wilson Butternut.  I hadn't ridden that board in almost two years, and what a difference that two years made in my skill level and ability to ride it.  Whereas in the past I was constantly nosediving, I have now started to master the angled takeoff and had some really fun rides.  I also did something I have never done before -- I stayed on a high line and right inside the pocket.  I fell off when I tried to get up on the nose, but it was a very different feeling from the rides I have been getting on my Austin stubby, which, for me, tends to outrun the wave.  I think at 10ft that board is a little more than I need, but had lots of fun and looking forward to next weekend, when I can ride it some more."]], "columns": ["post_id", "thread_id", "thread_title", "post_number", "author_username", "post_date", "post_date_iso", "post_body"], "primary_keys": ["post_id"], "primary_key_values": ["100557"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.7496600010199472, "license": "Public Domain"}
